Association Plant a tree, don't be a stump! launched a national tree planting project whose goal is planned to plant trees, especially fruit trees of autochthonous varieties and preserve their gene pool. By participating in the project, students learn about the importance of preserving green areas, enriching them and generally reducing the harmful impact on the environment. In less than two years, 75,000 participants took part in the campaign, and more than 200,000 trees were planted.
During the planting of the ginkgo tree, the 5th grade students became aware of ecological problems and the importance of improving the quality of the living and working environment. They learned that the most effective way to combat global warming is to plant a large number of trees.
The task of the students in the project is to dig holes, plant seedlings, mulch the area around the seedlings, take care of the planted tree throughout the year, pick fruits and learn about the nutritional and health value of fruits.
In addition, students buried time capsules with messages for themselves in the future next to their class tree.
This activity within our project Be a STEMfluencer is designed to encourage entrepreneurial spirit and active participation in society.
