As part of the "Be a STEMfluencer" project activities, the Project promoter – Primary school Lučko gathered students who are enthusiastic in astronomy, stargazing, looking at the sky and beyond. Students of the seventh and eighth grades visited Zagreb Observatory in the upper town where they learned more about the characteristics of the Sun, the universe, and the stars and wondered if we were alone in the universe.
After the educational part held at the Observatory students were introduced to the equipment and practiced to handle it, adjust the telescope in order to observe the sky. The visibility was reduced due to the bad weather conditions which did not spoil the visit for our enthusiastic STEMfluencers.
They warmly accepted the invitation to visit to the Observatory again in the evening hours to experience stargazing in dark conditions when good visibility creates a proper stargazing experiance.
